2. RECOMMENDED TERMS OF USE
2.1. This Unit has been provided to you as a water storage facility, for use of water
stored in the Unit in the event that you are disconnected from your water
supply. You may use this water for whichever household purpose you may
require. This Unit is not a substitute to your main water supply. In the event
that you are disconnected from your main water supply for an extended period
of time and subsequently make use of all of the water stored in the Unit, there
will be no further water supply available from the Unit until such time as your
main water supply is restored.
2.2. It is intended that the Unit be mounted on a fixed wall within the casing provided
for such purpose, in a manner which ensures that the Unit is properly affixed
to the wall. Waterreserve has annexed comprehensive installation instructions
to these terms and conditions however, it does not assist in the installation
process.
2.3. The Unit is not equipped to maintain the purity of the water stored and we
recommend that you decant and refill the Unit with fresh water every 4 to 6
weeks to ensure that you maintain the quality of the water stored. As a tip, if
the water is treated and the Unit is kept in a dark environment, this may assist
in maintaining the quality of the water.
2.4. If you intend using the water stored in the Unit for drinking, we further
recommend that you boil the water prior to use. In this regard, you are
reminded that the water may taste different due to it adapting the taste of the
materials around which it is stored. We strongly recommend that the Unit be
positioned with space between the Unit and the wall to avoid this in accordance
with our installation instructions annexed hereto.
2.5. We remind you that the water stored in this facility comes directly from your
main water supply system and as such, will be of a similar quality to the water
that is currently supplied to you through your main water supply system. The
Unit is not equipped to improve the quality of your water and
Waterreserve does not guarantee any quality standard for the water that
you elect to store in your Unit.
3. CONDITIONS OF YOUR WARRANTY
3.1. Waterreserve warrants the product against faulty manufacture and the working
of your Unit for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase, subject to the
Unit being used properly and for the purpose which it is intended to be used
for.
3.2. Further, in support of the CPA, this Unit is sold to you with an implied warranty
of quality that the Unit does not leak and is reasonably suitable for the purpose
which it is intended to be used for, is of good quality, free of defects and in
good working order, and will be durable and usable for a reasonable period of
time.
3.3. Your warranty will no longer be valid, and Waterreserve will not be
responsible for damage of any kind resulting from faulty installation of
the Unit, improper use of the Unit or failure to use the Unit in accordance
with the purpose for which it is intended and/or general misuse and/or
abuse, if not used for domestic purposes only, or for damage caused by
vis maior, where the Unit is physically damaged after delivery, alterations
or modifications to the Unit and/or illness as a result of the use of
contaminated water.
